Position Description:

  • prepares and cooks menu items in small quantities by established preparation procedures or as otherwise specified by the business.

  • Assists in the practical training of Assistant Cook, Short Order Cook, Grill Cook, and Kitchenperson/Chef’s Helper as needed.

  • ensures that prepared goods, including stews, sauces, and other items, are heated to the proper temperature before serving.
  • assists with carving and slicing meat for service in both back-of-house and front-of-house carving stations as required.
