In addition to other responsibilities as assigned, charge and discharge library materials, maintain guest records through the computerized circulation system, assist patrons with printing and access to public computers, greet library visitors and direct them to the appropriate resources, organize bookshelves, conduct other non-technical library tasks in support of library operations, and assist with the shelving of books.

This is a non-benefiting, part-time position with a fiscal year-to-month maximum of 919 hours of work and a weekly average of less than 30 service hours. Hours may fluctuate every week by the department’s daily staffing requirements. Hourly-paid unclassified personnel are compensated on a per diem or per-hour basis and are not eligible for benefits or governed by Civil Service regulations. Despite being on an at-will basis, hourly employees remain obligated to abide by all other policies and procedures of the city.

Essential Functions:
