Position Summary:

The Junior Accountant will assist the Junior Controller in managing accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), select chargebacks, and monthly reporting for the headquarters of Babo Botanicals. General Accounting:

  • Ensure that the entries in AR and AP are current.

  • Ensure that each deduction is accompanied by a backup that has been reviewed by the Account Managers, saved in the designated folder on the shared drive, and categorized under the appropriate GL number or item.
  • In the log and accounting system, update the status of newly filed insufficiency claims and claims that have been won.
  • Weekly/monthly delivery of an updated list of invoices and chargeback deductions requiring a dispute to the Chargeback Analyst.

Accounts Payable:

  • Ensure that vendor invoices are paid promptly through wire transfers, ACHs, credit cards, and checks.
  • Ensure that every payment function is coordinated.
  • Documents and payments, including employee reimbursements, journal vouchers, invoices, and company-related expenses, are processed.
  • Provide assistance and input disbursements, including wire transfers, vendor payment requests, and T&Es, to guarantee accurate classification, budgetary approval, authorization, and adherence to company policy.
  • Review and confirm that expenditures have been authorized by business policies and procedures.
  • Maintain adherence to income tax classification by utilizing tax and Form 1099 reporting mechanisms.
